First Nation’s Focus seeks photography, writing contributors
RENO, Nev. — First Nation’s Focus is currently seeking members of Northern Nevada-area Native American tribes and reservations who may be interested in contributing content or images for potential publication.
The mission of First Nation’s Focus is to help serve tribes and reservations across Nevada and in California’s Eastern Sierra and to teach all about the true essence and traditionalism of American Indian culture.
First Nation’s Focus concentrates on local and state tribal news, as well as tribal news in the world around us, in addition to a strong focus on content relative to American Indian culture and history.

The phrase “Indian Education” itself invokes generations of federal legislation aimed to assimilate via education. Modern day, the Title VI Indian Education Program administered by the Bureau of Indian Education provides federal funds to various educational institutions of students enrolled in federally recognized tribes.
